There were so many ways that she could have approached me, but Tara chose to be rude and unprofessional. The only reason that I do not give the lowest score is that there are some great dental techs in the office. Joni has done an excellent job of taking care of my children over the years. My hats off to all of the ladies that have to work under such a rude person. If she treated me like that, I could not imagine how she treats them.
It great people very proud of their job
I have been a client at Woodruff Family Dentistry for more than 12 years. I had a semi-emergency situation arise on the evening of December 22, which was a Thursday. I called the dentist office and was instructed that they would be open the following morning at 7:30. The message on the answering machine clearly stated that the office would open at 7:30 a.m. and that I would be assisted then. So, based on the answering machine message, I was at the office at 7:30. I was alone and in a panic. The office is a 30-minute drive from my house when the traffic is light. I turn to the website, and it says the office will open at 8. Well, no one showed. Frustrated and in pain, I find another location to tend to my situation. A week later, the pain has returned and I call WFD because I was told that my filling was cracked and I needed a root canal. They insist that I must come into the office so they can look in my mouth and see the cracked filling and take another x-ray. I explained what had transpired and that I did not want to be billed for the same exact thing that I would have seen them for had they been in the office the previous Friday as they stated they would be via their answering service and website. Longer story shortened, I went in, was given another x-ray and the dentist looked in my mouth and told me the exact thing that I already knew. They bring me a treatment plan and then a bill for the visit. I asked before my arrival if there would be a charge for the visit and they skirted around it. I felt that they should not have charged me, I did not need a 2nd opinion, I knew that my filling was cracked because I could feel it. I thought they were doing me a courtesy because of the lie that was on the website and the answering machine. The rude office manager gets in my face and basically accuses me of trying to stiff the doctor that was on duty for the day. That was not the case at all. They would have had the opportunity to recoup the 5 minutes the doctor spent with me when I had the root canal, which is not a cheap procedure. When I shared this with Tara, the terribly rude office manager, she got loud and wanted to argue about the facts. She could not dispute what the answering machine and the website suggested I do, but she went even further than that and said I was lying. I gave her the choice of the future patronage of my family and myself, and she chose the 53$. So, I see that her "winning" was more important than the pain I was in, more important than the years that my family and I had been clients, and more important than her dignity. She got in my face and wanted to argue, but I would not stoop to her level. So, I will not be returning to this location, nor will I suggest them to anyone.
